United Arab Emirates and Australia join forces in health and safety research
Mark Stevenson and Yousef Al Hosani sign the MOU
The MOU includes agreement to work together in the United Arab Emirates in the following areas:
- Road Safety
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Health and Nutrition in schools
- Health Policy
- Risk Assessment and Management
- Trauma Care and
- Data Linkage Projects
Senior Director and signatory for The George Institute, Professor Mark Stevenson said the MOU is an exciting step forward in our array of research collaborations. "The memorandum of understanding between The George Institute and the Emirates Institute for Health and Safety will see both parties working together to conduct public health research in the United Arab Emirates and the region."
Dr Yousef Al Hosani, Vice Chairman and CEO of the Emirates Institute for Health and Safety said, "I am very proud to be strengthening research ties between United Arab Emirates and Australia. Both parties have considerable research capabilities and together we will make significant strides in enhancing road safety and other public health-related research."
