Institute Research Fellow shortlisted as "Young Voice" in Health Research

Dashiell Gantner

Dashiell Gantner is an Australian Youth Ambassador for Development with the Institute, based in Beijing

Dashiell (Dash) Gantner, a Research Fellow and Australian Youth Ambassador for Development with The George Institute, has been shortlisted in the Young Voices in Research for Health 2007 competition run by the Global Forum for Health Research and the The Lancet. His shortlisted essay is entitled "Health access inequities in post-Communist China".

The theme for this year’s competition was "Equitable access: research challenges for health in developing countries", and Dash’s essay was one of 40 shortlisted from nearly 300 entries.

As a Research Fellow based at the The George Institute, China in Beijing, Dash is involved in cardiovascular, stroke and intensive care research. He has lived in Bolivia, volunteered in East Timor and studied in Melbourne, Sydney and Barcelona.
